Various Stages in building your home with Cavanaugh Construction:

First Contact

  • Obtain general information

First Visit

  • Meet with Matt Cavanaugh, Owner of Cavanaugh Construction, & Mark Murray our in-house designer.  Discuss your lot location - we would go with you to lot for consultation and discuss plan design.  This is a complimentary service.

Deposit for Design Fee

  • It is our policy to collect a design fee deposit prior to producing any plans.
  • The deposit amount is non-refundable.  The fee is based on square footage and/or hours spent on design.
  • There is no charge for bid ready plans or renderings if Cavanaugh Construction builds the project.

Design Review

  • Client reviews plans for approval to start bid process.

Bid Process & Contract Phase

  • Bid prepared and presented to Client.  If accepted, Contract is prepared.

Permit Process

  • Paperwork submitted to all agencies for permits. This includes any Homeowner Associations.  This process can take up to 4 weeks.

Construction Phase

  • Work is scheduled to build project & construction begins.  The time varies depending on size of project. This could take from 5 to 12 months.

Completion of Work

  • Clients obtain keys to house and move-in after a walkthrough with Matt Cavanaugh.

Customer Service

  • Work with Customer for a smooth and happy transition into their beautiful new home.
